Silk Road Strategies: Connecting to the Silk Road

CWI Strategies has been working on the ‘One Belt One Road’ initiative since 2013, both with Chinese stakeholders and with international partners from the traditional Silk Road regions and beyond. With our experience and extensive contacts within China and our broad global network and expertise, CWI Strategies connects our clients to the 21st century Silk Road.

Client case: Scaling the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce

The Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC) was established in 2015 as a link between the global business community and the investment and trade opportunities offered by China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative. CWI was engaged to shepherd the SRCIC from concept to functioning multilateral business organization. CWI designed the SRCIC governance structure and was tasked with membership growth, leveraging growing global awareness in the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative to attract national chambers of commerce from around the globe. In under two years the SRCIC has grown to be the go-to organization for business involvement in the ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative, with a membership base spanning Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe – and even extending the new Silk Road to the shores of North America.
